One of the biggest misconceptions about working at a nonprofit is that employees don’t get paid well or that they should work for passion rather than a salary.

Passion ain’t always sustainable. Learned this the hard way. Twice.
I think the biggest misconception is that working at a nonprofit means low pay and little room for growth. While it can be challenging, many nonprofits offer a lot of opportunities to learn, lead, and make a real impact. Plus, the work environment can be incredibly rewarding! What's your experience been?

I think that a lot of people think non profits are always just a big sob story instead of seeing it as something wonderful that is coming out of a sob story, lol. I also know that in order to get funds to run the said non profit, one must tug on the donor’s heartstrings! So bring on the sob stories, lol…..
I think people often assume that nonprofits are doing selfless work and not bringing in any you know money or profit but in reality many of them or scams or the management team makes ridiculous money so there are a lot of nonprofits that ruined the name
