What’s the biggest sacrifice you have made in your career so far? With the intense hours in the last five years, I felt like I’ve missed a lot outside of work. I’m not complaining as I have made good money but I’m just curious if everyone else feels the same or different?

I am financially secure (husband now has a high earning job) and looking at what options for "moon shots" at chances of real wealth generation with my years in Big 4 (10+). Month to month cash flow isn't a concern anymore so i can focus on opportunities for bigger pay days. Ideas from the hive mind?

Note that at MS, 2nd year bonuses in my group last year were 90-115K, while MBA associates received a pro-rated 90K stub (~40k). The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.
