What’s the one travel item you’ll never go without again? For me, it’s a $12 portable door lock I grabbed before a solo trip to Mexico City. It weighs almost nothing, takes seconds to install, and gave me so much peace of mind—especially after someone jiggled my hotel room door around 2 AM. Nothing happened, thankfully, but I couldn’t sleep the rest of the night. Ever since then, I won’t travel without it, even if I’m with someone else. What’s your most underrated but essential item—the kind of thing that’s not flashy, but makes you feel safer, more comfortable, or just more at ease on the road?

Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.
