This was such a great interview and so accurate.

Great vid. COVID hysteria was probably the single biggest reason I voted for many republicans in November.
It was clear that so many of my more left-leaning friends had had the logical part of their brains completely fried by CNN, MSNBC, NYT, HuffPo, etc

Likewise
I also like to get my medical advice from late night tv hosts.

You didn’t watch the clip did you?

Maher is a terrible human being tho
SM1 He never said he wants to wipe Muslims off the face of the planet. He’s criticized the Muslim world for widely holding extreme opinions and he’s definitely crossed some lines, but he hasn’t approached that.

This is so spot on

I agree with everything he said. Well put. The stat he used, 78% of those hospitalized with covid were obese is the key point we should have been discussing for the past 13 months but as he said, it’s a third rail. We would rather lock down the economy than talk about the underlying health issues.
Here are similar articles corroborating this position:
40% of those that died of COVID could have been prevented. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/feb/10/us-coronavirus-response-donald-trump-health-policy
“Americans w/ 4 conditions—obesity, diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure & heart failure—account for 2/3 of all COVID-19 hospitalizations in US

And just because there are uncontrollable risks doesn’t mean we should accept all risks...
I get the obesity correlation, but what was public health policy to do after the pandemic started - get everyone on an exercise regimen?
DD1 never heard anything about obesity and Covid which is why he knows about the correlation of obesity being a comorbidity of Covid death and hospitalization....
Thanks for sharing this! Very eye opening
