Bouncing ideas here my Chiro mentioned that he is having trouble with his AR over 300K sitting in 120 from PPO plans. He was thinking of hiring someone that will charge him 11% to manage and collect his AR
I was thinking of offering to be a consultant, clean up his AR and make changes to current practice for future collections.
I have never done this but it’s genuinely exciting. How much would you change and how? And is this an enticing idea instead of outsourcing billing and paying a fee forev

I have an interview for an in house position (only attorney) at a small non-profit focused on conservation easements. I am a transactional associate at a mid sized law firm. The prospect of freedom from the billable hour and contributing to meaningful work are the draws. The cons are that while the salary at the non-profit would only be slightly less than what I am making now, pay increases and opportunities for advancement will be much less than where I am now. Thoughts on making the shift?

Senior attorneys at v100, how common is it for attorneys who start at small firms to lateral to biglaw? Have you worked with any? Conventional wisdom is always that if you don’t start there it’s hard to “trade up”. My coworker and I just did it to two different great v30 firms, and I’m wondering if it’s really that uncommon?
