Best consulting companies in the social sector?
Somebody say layoffs?

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

This may sound weird, but I have enjoyed every city I have lived in - Raleigh, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, NYC and Boston. Plus have spent extensive time in Seattle, Nova, Chicago and Los Angeles.
A few learnings along the way.
1. It matters way more where you live in a city than what city you live in
2. Airport matters
3. Income matters by city, consulting is unique - but generally HCOL areas also pay more
4. HCOL cities tend to have a lot of free / accessible experiences hard to find elsewhere. E.g: when Hamilton was in fire people from Houston would fly to NYC stay the weekend and watch it or limited exhibitions in the Smithsonians in DC
There are so many pros and cons to each city - but my best experiences have been NYC, Boston, Atlanta and NOVA.
Bottom of my list would be Los Angeles and Miami. I hate the elitist vibe both those places have. I feel the rich have it all in those cities and everyone else is just trying to be relevant.
