I don't have form 16 OR PF . I worked there around 2years.

Not really, DD1. If you give the client exactly what they want, you get the Kendall Jenner Pepsi ad. Because they're specialists in making soda, not communications. We steer them toward something better, for their sake as well as ours. But not all CMO's are brave or savvy communicators. It takes some prodding. Usually, they thank us later.
The CD's job is to fight for the best work, which may mean you aren't always incredibly popular with the client, especially difficult ones. Or maybe you're not a great fit in terms of casting. Creatives heads are always on the chopping block (are you serious?), but getting asked off the account doesn't always mean you're bad. The most award winning CDs I know have been asked off more accts than any other. They're bullish.
I think clients don’t know their own minds, not really, and that’s both why they need and why they fire CDs. Clients know the results they want, but not the piece of communication that can get them there. They’re often provided with lots of good options, but aren’t clear in their own thinking about what trade-offs they’re willing to make to make each one work. It’s in that back-and-forth, want-this-ad-to-do-everything space that good CDs get lost and perish.

I agree with CD1. I think the risk of conflict exists, specially if your account manager is not good
My experience is that the account people have a lot of power/say in all this. They defend the creatives they like. If they don't like you you're likely eventually fucked, no matter your level.
Copywriter 1 has no idea what they are talking about.
That’s rather sad since account people manage calendars and don’t know shit about ideas, insights or executions. All they care about is if the project is completed on time. They normally can’t evaluate good work, don’t understand good writing and are clueless regarding art direction and design. It’s nice to know these people have a lot of power, but it’s advertising so it makes sense. Up is down and right is fuck you.
^ I just came to say that, LOL! WTF are you even talking about, CW1? I'm sorry if you've worked with some shitty AE somewhere in the few years both of you have been around. I do agree nobody gets trained much in anything these days across departments. Plenty of creative with Zero marketing nor advertising/basic business comprehension.
I've never ever experienced a creative being asked of the account by the client, but Account... Oh, boy... Drama galore. I've asked once in my career to get a different art guy after for 6 months he gave consistently design options (read different color bullets and borders) instead of actual different concept ideas and then it took another 6 months to actually get him off my team. A year from hell, never been so embarrassed presenting creative to clients.
I find it amazing that again this thread openly admits that CDs fight for awards and work they think is good, rather than what client wants or needs.

Agree w the replies. There are so many reasons CDs may not get fired if asked off an account. Sometimes they are well connected in the agency, and have people at the top keeping them safe. Sometimes they are underpaid but really seasoned, so there’s value in keeping them around. Sometimes everyone knows the client is awful, and it’s not the CDs fault. Sometimes the creative department is looking for an excuse to get rid of the creatives working under the CD,
