What salary does corporates pay to an onsite guy with 10+ yrs of experience for Germany location?

I am about to transition from being a junior partner at a large law firm (my practice has focused on private equity M&A) to Deputy General Counsel at a large-ish Pubco. I am already giving myself a crash course in public securities and corporate governance from my firm’s training materials and my cap markets partners, but I also wanted to poll the audience for other suggestions on how to become as prepared as possible for my new role please. Is it wrong that I’m just not into PE/VC? It seems to be the most desirable exit for most people that I work with. I want to switch and I have a very good offer with me. However everytime I think about resigning I get scared and I’ve this slight hope of something good happening in my current org. The culture and environment in my current org is very good. However I don’t enjoy the work I’m doing here. I don’t know what exactly holds me back from switching but this issue has started affecting my mental health.
