Is there a way of bypassing the H1B lottery? I was told by an external recruiter that if I joined their London team, after a year I could go through H1B process without the lottery. I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

I have an interview tomorrow with a recruiter who contacted me through LinkedIn. I believe I am way under-qualified for the position and I pointed that out to her, but she responded with several points from my resume as to why she believes the role is a good fit with my experience. It would be a leap, but maybe I need to take it as a challenge and not limit myself? I just don’t want to get in over my head and fall flat on my face. What are some questions I could ask during the first interview?

Hey all! I went through the interviewing process with a company and we had a verbal agreement on X amount of salary per year. They liked me and extended an offer but the offer was for $15K less than what we agreed bc that’s what HR approved for. I was desperate so I took it. Accepting this offer meant that I had to relocate to the other side of the country. Omw that was 2500 miles, I received a call that they rescinded the offer. Is there anything legal that I can do to sue them?

Have a final round of interviews as a remote candidate for a team that mainly lives in NYC. Hiring manager said during first interview that my location / remote status doesn’t matter and he has no concerns with hiring remotely for the role. How do I sell myself as a remote candidate to the other 4 team members I am meeting, knowing they all are located in the same city?
