WhatsApp, the one app that was an outlier in Meta's portfolio for not having ads, is going to start having sponsored content as of the announcement yesterday at Cannes Lions. Do you think this is a good idea for WhatsApp? I guess if you have to go into the updates tab to see them, and they won't just pop up while I'm texting or calling, I wouldn't care as much..... but it still just feels too invasive for a platform like this. What are others' thoughts?
