When do you give up on finding the perfect job and settle for what's available? I wanted a place with safe ratios and no mandatory OT, but I've been unemployed since September, and my savings are almost depleted. I know I shouldn't settle, but I also need to eat lol. What's the best thing to do?

Hi. Can someone please tell me what is the salary of an Associate consultant for a homegrown associate.

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

Can you still earn status under the old world requirements if you have not combined? Trying to see if I can score an extra year of plat before I combine but idk if stays will count now, merged or not.

I studied finance in undergrad and had a couple of internal audit internships. I only started a few month ago but I never saw myself doing IT Audit and I don’t like it thus far! When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right?
