I have been tracking my job search and I personally have exclusively heard back from jobs I applied to the day they were posted. I think if you wait too long it decreases your chances of having a human see your resume? I’m not sure 😬
I look at Last 24 hours
Nada. I look at the job postings and see there are already 100s of applicants already which kinda brings my morale down.
I still apply though and have just got emails starting with “Unfortunately”.
Same here a week or less. If it’s been 3+ weeks chances are they have people interviewing and it’ll take a while until you get your chance to interview.
But it can be tricky sometimes. Some companies have posts that expire and they repost the same job that just expired.
Our hiring lead time is like 20 weeks nowadays, apply and follow up same day with hiring manager or HR to let them know you’re interested
Go with just a week out, but if it’s been more than 3 weeks apply as well. Normally if a posting is “stale” they are still looking for a great candidate. For myself, if I get bombarded with a ton of applications I’m pausing a job posting. I want to make sure everyone that applied gets an app review and answer in a timely manner.
