I don’t mind telling people my age, but totally understand others not wanting to share that with coworkers. I’d like to think most people would respect that boundary, so a polite “I’d prefer not to say” should do the job.
Another approach is to lean into the mystery, say jokingly “I’m 21 plus shipping and handling” or pull a McLovin “I’m old enough…to party.”
I just say one of the following:
-A lady never tells.
-Isn’t it rude to ask?
-Old enough to know better.
Sometimes I just stare blankly and then they get super awkward and apologize for asking.
I love old enough to know better as a response

I love these suggestions. Have you also considered spontaneously breaking into showtunes? 🎶 I am sixteen going on seventeen… 🎶
“Guess, this is a fun game, I’ll guess you next!”
I just say I’m a Millennial. I’ve never asked anyone their age at work.
I like to say: "That's an unlisted number".
I say “I’m older than you think” or if I’m feeling spicy, “I’m not answering that question” which leaves them feeling more awkward than me. FWIW I also have a baby face and am short so people often assume I’m younger than I am.
-Im “tape my favorite song on the radio” years old
-old enough to remember learning on photoshop v7
-old enough to remember when storyboaring had actual boards
Etc
Oh I don’t care. I also have a baby face and people are shocked when they find out my age. I tell people when asked.
Same! My new EP just asked me but I can tell she asked to kind of size me up because I’ve been told I have a baby face. I actually like that I told her because in my last role I told them towards the end of my very short time there and noticed they were treating me the way they were because they thought I was younger. Play it by ear.
Yes, and I always say I am ancient.
I always say "I'm whatever age you think I am ☺️" I also have a baby face, so people always think I'm younger than I am and I'm 100% ok with that.
Don’t disclose your age. Say something like “Old enough to know not to answer” or “Old enough to remember most of Scandal” or something like that. It took me a whole career to learn that it will be used against you.
Would love to be in your shoes and not paying for Botox
I also look way younger than I am and nobody has ever outright asked me my age. They can also easily look it up (I don’t hide my college years on LinkedIn) but usually they’ll start conversations about older movies or music that will eventually lead to me dating myself
