It won't be legit. You're going to be shafted for the next 10 years of your life while you wait for them to "normalize" your pay.
I feel you, OP. Talked to a PPD about my compensation today and a/he legit recommended that I boomerang
And honestly the PPD recommending that you boomerang indicates that he's either really down to earth and being honest with you, or really doesn't care if you leave or not. Depends on your relationship with him or her.
What's your salary, service area, service line, and industry alignment?
They probably make more if they are from a target school
S&%T, I forgot to answer the question. Yes, leave.
EY1- i know. Does this mean that we should leave? I'm contemplating it, but every time I look elsewhere, including other consulting firms, D still has the best benefits (mostly family leave) and them I ask myself if it is worth it
You can keep waiting around with lower pay and great benefits, or get a higher salary with slightly less benefits. Like I said, you'll spend years waiting for them to adjust your salary. I had the same conv at Deloitte 5 years ago. They told me they'd love to give me award gift cards while my pay adjusted over the years. I laughed and left. So to answer your question, if you've built a great network with uncle D, and you think it's worth sticking around, then I hope you don't expect an accelerated pay adjustment.
Oh, well, it is bc the pipeline for the practice area that matches my expertise is weak. She pretty much told me to get out of dodge, whether inside or outside of d
OP- if you figure out how to crack the code, please let me know!
