My team has a weekly bonus to see who writes the most lines of code, and it seems to lead to verbose, inefficient code. How do I tell my manager his bonus is leading to more problems than solutions?

I have worked on the tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Git (GitLab and GitHub)/Gerrit and Other DevOps Tool Chains such as Artifactory and Monitoring Tools. But not cloud experience like AWS, Azure (have on Premises cloud exposure).
