I have professional goals but I also value work life balance. What level (manager/senior manager/director/principal) at a consulting firm would allow me to have the time to do what I want (family, travel, hobbies) while paying enough money to support a decent lifestyle (upper middle class)?

I may have prematurely accepted an offer. I received an offer from another firm less than 24 hours after accepting my offer at firm 1. Would it be bad to rescind my acceptance?

How much emphasis do y’all place on race/ethnicity when pursuing someone? Like is there ever a time when you think “wow this person is cool but I wish they were from X country”?

I ask bc I’m in a large friend group with people from one specific culture and I’m the different one. I can’t help but feel “left out” when I keep hearing about people in this group coupling up, or hanging out for the purpose of finding a spouse and never being considered… it’s starting to eat at my confidence lol

Work at an in-house agency for a huge company. I’m a contract worker, and I get paid $50 an hour, equaling about 100k+ per year. They want to bring me on full time, should I expect them to match that?

When I came into advertising they said “there are no egos”. I’m starting to think that’s a lie. We tend to only put value on people at big agencies executing big ideas. Most of my CDs (at previous jobs) are known for not doing what they say or flat out ignoring me. I’m happy where I am now, I feel really lucky, but I’m not at W+K or Droga5 and I just feel like I’m not cool enough to talk to my friends who are doing awesome work. Am I alone on this? I know it can’t just be me.
