If cargo space is a concern then XC90 > GLB. I’d personally get a Q7.
The GLC is already small, I can't imagine how cramped the thord row is in the GLB.
Regardlsss of make and model, do bot buy a new car, you will be throwing away 5 figures driving it off the lot.
Also, GLC is bigger than the GLB, but the GLB has more head/leg room.

T8 xc90?
2019 T5 XC90s with around 50-60k miles are going for $28-30k.
For 36 month loan at 6% interest, you’ll pay around $4300 in interest, plus the OTD price of 46k. Meaning best case, this underpowered XC90 will cost you about 20k over 3 years.
Not too bad, but I’d get a gen3 MDX (2017-2020). It’ll cost you half that and be twice as reliable.
Get the XC90 and a good extended warranty, just in case there are any issues. Safety and reliability are in Volvos s8de I this one. I'd personally go for a Q7 myself though.
My parents had an XC90. It was lemon lawed and now they have a Q7. FWIW, it drives fancier than the Volvo
Q7 is so slow
That’s why you get an SQ7
Other thing I like is that the Volvo has a temporary spare. My current GLA doesn't have one, and it's definitely my least favorite thing about the car.
I don't have a problem buying pre-owned, but I've always only purchased cars that were one year old and often less than 10k miles.
GLA was purchased with 9k miles, and the Volvo S60 was a demo with 4k miles.
I'm at a point now where the GLA needs 2 new tires, alignment, some brake work, and 50k service will be due likely mid-summer. I've also been noticing the car feeling a but sluggish, and I've smelled gasoline in the cabin on two separate occasions.. meaning, the car is about to get expensive. So, do I cut my losses and go for a new vehicle or suck up the repair costs and continue with a car that doesn't quite meet my needs?
I lean towards the MB due to it being a new car, so I won't need to worry about that for years. I lean towards the Volvo because it's bigger and costs less.
I'm financing at 1.9% vs 6.4% thru my credit union
Lexus GX is the answer then. You can drive that thing for decades. Only thing is that it was completely redesigned for 2024 so you’re looking at a pre-owned prior gen with your budget. I would never buy a MB or Volvo, lease only.
Get a Q7 or Q8, better yet SQ7 or SQ8 🙃
Not an Audi fan.
Wow these go down in value so fast :) I had no idea. Gotta consider buying a bit used.
Yeah it’s nuts how much new cars are. Like I was looking at the rx and it’s almost $70. I have a deposit down on a rivian that keeps rolling. I’m thinking I want to go with a gas hybrid but nothing really exciting out there. I also need a third row but only for occasional use.
Do not buy the xc90... it's a great lease but they are terrible to own.. I am just turning my lease in and the number of issues is non stop. We have a T8.
I am probably leasing another but that's cause I have not had to pay for any repairs. It's all under warranty but I can't imagine owning that car out of warranty.
The leases on Rivian are great also right now.
This. A friend terminated his lease on XC90 due to nonstop issues. Went with a Infinity QSomthng
Yeah I wish they made an x5 with the occasional 3rd row. Maybe I’ll pick up a used version
It took me some research but I got a 2021 X5 with 3rd row. I REALLY like it, but the 3rd row is really do occasional carpoooling, as it’s a bit tight and it’s usage makes leg room for all 3 rows a bit tight (I’m 6’2”)
The 3rd row in the GLB is too small imo
OR… E Class wagon w third row. A true mark of refinement. Apparently they have among the highest income demographics of any new car.
Because you have to be able to afford a second cool car to balance the ego after driving a wagon.
Go for a BMW X7.
American brands are more tuff with more cargo space but Europe brands omg as mechanic I have bad experience for fixing too much control units need more parts more scanning
