I'm definitely not ready, lol. I don't want to think about it 😆 being off from work makes me realize I could totally be a stay-at-home mom and be perfectly happy never going back to work.

First off, what the hell is "dry January"? That aside, it's the gig. Ready or not, it's coming.
Rising Star
I’ve learned to set my expectations low. And January usually meets them.
I plan to hit it hard with writing. My dual language learners will work on getting their English vocabulary up to help with comprehension for their writing. Usually I get multiple languages when they write, and now I'll be expecting it all in English to work on making sure they have the words to convey their ideas. I hate state exams, but I love seeing their writing improve. I always let them know it's helpful for the test, but needed for life. I'm so excited when they test out of title reading with me. Together we are a team! 💡
We can do this!📚☺️📖
I am ready for the return to routines and my students are curious little learners, so I am looking forward to the joy they bring to the classroom. January can be lots of fun… wonderful winter!
I need to stay focused on creating two great units for C3 of my NBs. I need to manage interruptions and distractions. But I’m ready to get back going!
I wasn't really ready but then I kinda missed the daily routines of my classroom, getting up for work, and then returning home to my family in the evenings.
I’m not sure what you mean when you say “dry” January. I knew I had to go back so I would describe it as easing back toward the purpose. After returning a couple days, I was fine. The kids were fine as well. They went back to their regular activities and the routine helped them.
I’ve been retired now for a couple years, and now I couldn’t imagine getting up that early. My feet don’t hit the floor anymore before 8:30. After 28 years in education, I love it!
