Why is Deloitte HR silent after asking for documents? Is this normal?
I went through 3 rounds of technical interviews, cleared them, and then HR sent me a formal email asking for documents - increment letter, pay slips, education certificates, government ID, everything.

Interview Date :- 16th May at Gurgaon office
I submitted all of them promptly. It's been 2+ weeks now and HR hasn't responded despite 2–3 follow-ups. No rejection, no update, just silence.
Is this normal? Should I be worried?

If I get the job pay will start around 120k at a large company with room for growth. If I stay in PA school I will have around 120k in debt and will probably work in vascular surgery. I had final round interviews last week for the company I really want to work for. I have an offer from another company, which I communicated to the recruiter which expedited the interview to final rounds. I need to respond to the other company's offer letter soon. Should I follow up with the hiring recruiter for the company I want an offer from? Or just move on if I haven't heard back by end of this week?

One of my friend got interviewed in Deloitte and she was asked to rethink her salary ask in the HR round. She reduced it to 1L less than initial ask. Now the status is in benchmarking approval. What does that mean ? Will they release the offer letter ?

While giving the tech interview as well as while having the HR discussion, I mentioned my expected CTC as 9-10 LPA(CTC). I cleared the interview and uploaded all the documents in the portal yesterday. Today mrng all the document verification was completed. But when I got the call for offer discussion, she asked what u expect. I said 9-10 LPA. She questioned me that on what basis I am asking for this much hike. She offered me 6.3 LPA as CTC with 21% variable. 5.2 as basic. Rest part in comments..

Need some suggestions: My current company is on a layoff spree and 2 rounds are already done and I can foresee another round coming very soon.

While I am trying to switch to other companies, I’m not able to reveal the real reason from my side for the job change, as if I say, it’s because of layoff fears than it’ll reduce my negotiation power.

I received an offer from big 4 with 60% hike. My managers wants to retain and I asked them to match if you want me to be retained.
Now I got a call from GPM yesterday. He used harsh words like "being greedy" "selfish" etc and offered me 30% in the end.
I politely declined but he asked me to reconsider as he said "it would be unfair for the org for you to leave so soon."

Let me know a proper response.

Also what do you think of this behavior by GPM?
