How long have you been at USDC? Its been more than 5 for me, Its time for me to move on- I got enough learnings and time to move on. My most biggest complaint is not about the pay difference but benefits difference, I mean I am a human too and I need mat/pat leave the same as core(not just that, pension benefits too) Management is already hitting us by lower pay, can’t they match the benefits, is it so hard to be empathetic

Cant agree more. I have had this discussion with leaders as well. All I got was “we’re looking into it”

Additionally, even USDC leaders are not fighting for our rights.

After 3 years of EEE ratings, multiple certifications, I never got what I deserved even during the promotion year, I'm moving on. Have a screening interview line up in industry and was contemplating yesterday waiting for the new comp statement to maybe change my mind. I'm going for this new opportunity full force now and applying for other ones if this doesn't work out. There is absolutely no future in USDC. Such a sad place..

Is sticking up for yourself even worth it? My boss is always on my ass as if I’m constantly missing, or about to miss, deadlines. I’ve never missed one. I’ve received the same damn lecture/email about monitoring all case deadlines a hundred times. I always just professionally explain that we’re not about to miss any and discuss the progress. Well, I’ve about had it and am ready to go off. I’m sick of basically being told that I’m not doing my job. How should I address this issue?

my sister died this morning. I posted about her in a past post. Alcohol addiction, liver failure and then it taxed the kidneys too much, she went into cardiac arrest at 9 am and they could not save her. She was 51. Sad day for sure. Feels odd that she is no longer here. I just wish she could have had a better future.

New grad. Starting at a small defense side med mal firm. Looking on information from anyone in this path on what the career trajectory is like for this line of work.

I'd like to move into a bigger firm after a few years. Am I stuck to med mal? Is it possible to change practices or am I pigeon holled. I have a Healthcare background so I'm not worried I won't like the work, mainly just want to know if it's possible to move to big firm to make some real money with a med mal background.
