Toronto - way more jobs in both sectors, huge tech industry
Better than the cold and snow and slush and ice IMO.
Vancouver has way better WLB. People are more relaxed and there's less intensity but the people are just as great, if not better. Also nature and great food.
Vancouver just for weather. I live in Toronto
What I’ve heard is Vancouver is better generally for life/living... but less jobs, the jobs there are pay lower, and cost of living higher (rent/mortgage)

Have the same question. Based on the job listings, Vancouver seems to have a stronger tech job market for technical professionals. Is the cost of living in Vancouver that much higher than Toronto?
Re: consulting travel - Vancouver is super tough. Lots of Sunday night flights because of time zone. Mix of industries in Vancouver and few headquarter means it can be tough to find local opportunities. If travel isn’t a concern Van 💯 for lifestyle and people.
Toronto for the jobs. If I can land the same job on in Vancouver with the same pay I’d take it in a heartbeat
I lived in Vancouver for 17 years and moved to Toronto 8 years ago, best decision I ever made.
Any reason behind this?
Is it really that much harder to sell work in Vancouver? I’ve heard if you’re not from there, it’s borderline impossible vs Toronto which is more like any other big city. I understand a smaller market will be more challenging, but is it more than that?
There’s no work in Vancouver. Unless you have that HK money, best to live/work in Toronto
