With a 28-year career, mostly in advertising (graphic/art/creative director) and 10+ years running my own agency, I'm facing a challenge. I've worked for US companies since 2017, pivoting to tech as a UX Designer and later Product Manager for 7 years at the same company and over 1 year on my current job.
After applying to 60+ jobs, my portfolio gets significant traffic, but I've received zero calls. At 46, I have to ask: is being Latino or my age a factor in why companies are not contacting me?

I wanted to share that I am in my first job as ui/ux expert and I am the only ux/ui person in the team. I am expected to take care of entire research and design of the product. It becomes very overwhelming as the product that I am working on is in a early phase and I am expected to think about ui as well as ux and also design entire app on my own.There is no user interview or user testing happening as my project manager thinks it can be done after product is launched. Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team.
