With all the administrative changes happening, I know many of us are feeling the weight of keeping our teams engaged and ourselves motivated at the same time.

For those of you managing large teams:
1. How do you keep yourself motivated when things feel uncertain or overwhelming?
2. What strategies do you use to keep your teams grounded, encouraged, and focused?

Would love to hear what’s worked (or hasn’t worked) for you!

I'm just doing the best I can to be available, empathetic, and supportive. I personally can't stop the world, and especially the government, from causing people to feel anxiety. But I can be there and answer questions and share what I know as much as possible in the meantime.

I posted about it on my Instagram HerMillennialMoney if you want to learn my tips and tricks with the care.

My supervisor gave me 8hours of AWOL because I couldn't show up one day because I was under anxiety. I have gave him letters from psychiatrist, psychologist that I'm passing through this. He didn't care and gave me an AWOL. I want to leave my job because my department is very toxic but I don't want to leave having that on my records.
If I move to another job later on (private or federal) this 8 hours of AWOL will show up?

My partner got a City of Toronto offer. Salary band is 104-121k. HR asked for his expectations and he said 115k. HR came back with a 106k offer stating nobody on the team makes that much so they cant offer it. Also said she is unsure if there is any wiggle room if any at all. I’ve looked at everyone on the team with the same titles salary on the sunshine list and the lowest I see is 121k. I assume there is an OT component of some sort but also can’t confirm. Thoughts? /negotiating advice?

This might be a long shot but I'm looking for a volunteer who is trying to break into a federal career. Maybe a transitioning veteran, recent grad, or career-changer.

I'm pursuing my master career coaching cert and need to do a recorded 45-minute session. You don't have to be identified if you don't want to.

The single session is all I'm asking but could certainly turn into a longer lasting coaching relationship (at no cost), if you like.
