With the full return to office, summers have gotten really hard. Last year, I burned through a lot of leave for camp and school breaks, and hiring sitters is no joke at $18 an hour minimum. My spouse also works in office and travels frequently, so coverage falls mostly on me. We still have situational telework and maxiflex/credit hours available. What schedule setups have worked for people in a similar situation?

I work through a contractor, and was hired 2yrs ago to be a Systems Test Engineer II. They decided last minute to make me a Software Content Manager, but kept my title as is since it was supposed to be a 6mo rotation. I’m still an SCM, and am taking on leadership roles in the group. I wanted to gauge what is a general salary that ones been offered on this team. I felt lowballed at $79k/annual, initially offered 74k. This is given that I had 1.5 years in land use planning and a recent masters graduate in urban planning.
