What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.

3 hours is a lot. I’m not too sure the 35k would be worth it to me. However, leaving a toxic environment is and hopefully the other job will work out or there will be others that are worth it.
Thank you we thought the same, especially the climate of things going on.
Have you considered municipal consulting? It would be a way into the private sector using your years of experience and love for what you do with a change in environment & potential for remote work.
No I haven’t, never heard of municipal consulting honestly. I will look into that, great idea! Thank you!
Have you considered another agency? That prevents you from having to be 3 hours away. Moving to another agency may give you a raise without having to sacrifice distance. If it’s toxic and not working well, and you’ve been there for 17 years, ide say it’s worth considering looking elsewhere. Private sector also may mean giving up benefits like health care and pension. 35K may not really be 35K when you have to pay for your own benefits. Unless private sector job you’re considering provides that for you.
Construction for the next few years will be looking good due to the infrastructure bill so I think the outlook for private sector is pretty good, but I recommend always thinking long term.
Great advise, and yes I have. I actually since my post have a second interview for another public sector job next week. When we weighed the Pros vs Cons we agree to stay close to home, and see about other public sector jobs to stay in same retirement system. Thank you!!
Anyone have any thoughts?
