Interested in a Sales Associate position at Cushman & Wakefield. I have experience as a government analyst for 7 years but nothing related to commercial real estate. I want to become a more competitive applicant but not sure where to start. Are there any certificates, skills, or knowledge that I should be learning in my free time?

I recommend getting a project management certification and your real estate license. Commercial real estate associates do quite a bit of quantitative analysis (return on investment, etc), so being able to demonstrate good skills and experience in this vein is key, too.

I’m a fourth year cap markers US associate in London. Started my career here after law school and looking to lateral back to a firm in the US. Genuinely open to anywhere but have long term prospects of making partner, and conscious that majority of my practice here has been unregistered work. Should I just head back to NY (went to law school there and barred in NY) and gain more SEC registered experience should I be looking for more secondary markets since long term would not want to stay in NY

Hello. Anyone familiar with iBonds? I started investing a little in March of this year, and while I see the interest rate has changed from 7.12% to over 9%, I don't see my balance growing beyond what I have put in. From what I've read I thought the interest would hit monthly. Also I keep hearing that they are super safe because they're backed by the govt, but what are the actual risks? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Additional Posts in Government

I’ve been a fed for 13 years within DoD and am in my early 40’s. Not sure when a promotion is on the horizon for me as I’m a top performer.

What are thoughts of leaving the fed for a company like Deloitte?

Is it really that difficult to get hired for a federal job? I was interviewed for a GS12 job but never heard back, they still didn’t hire anyone and I didn’t get a rejection. I applied for another GS07 job, was accepted, I took it, but I believe I can do better. I have a master’s and have extra graduate research experience. I am still applying to new jobs but I was told it is impossible to move up the grade level now. Everyone is telling me to stick with the government. What are your thoughts?

likehelpfulupliftingsmart

This might be a long shot but I'm looking for a volunteer who is trying to break into a federal career. Maybe a transitioning veteran, recent grad, or career-changer.

I'm pursuing my master career coaching cert and need to do a recorded 45-minute session. You don't have to be identified if you don't want to.

The single session is all I'm asking but could certainly turn into a longer lasting coaching relationship (at no cost), if you like.

I work through a contractor, and was hired 2yrs ago to be a Systems Test Engineer II. How do I ask for a title change and pay increase to reflect what I actually do? Do I ask my contract house, or my NASA mgmt? Should I ask to make the pay retroactive since I was hired to do one thing, but do another?
