I am working on putting a PD session together for new teachers about using tech in the classroom. What tools/skills do new teachers need to know when they get started (other than learning their school's grading/attendance platform)?

Is anyone else returning to fully in person learning? We have been hybrid/synchronous since September, which has been very hard and not very effective. They want us to have all Kindergarten students come back in March. I want to stop live teaching over google meet all day while also teaching my students in person at the same time, but there is not enough space in my classroom for safe distancing, not enough space for movement, and sitting at a desk all day is not appropriate for K kids!

What does effective classroom management look like to you?

Anyone use edgenuity? I'm starting Monday with students, never been trained, no guidance. Don't know how to set expectations if I don't know. ice breaker ideas? I'm not in my classroom.. media center.

What's the best printer for a Special education self contained classroom? I have 10 students and need a printer that can handle printing work for them daily and IEPs at the end of the year. Any suggestions? Cost of 350 or less preferable

I can manage my classroom better if I don’t respond to emails outside of office hours. This gives my mind a break and by consequence refreshes me for the next day. It also sets a boundary.

I usually make my own classroom posters. What are some must have posters in your room? Do you reference them often? What about some neat, storebought posters that you love? my walls are bare!
