Heat really does zap your energy and patience, especially in stuffy offices. I’ve found that keeping little comforts nearby makes a big difference like a cold drink, a light snack with some protein, and even one of those mini cooling towels you can wrap around your neck. When I start to feel sluggish or irritable, I’ll step outside for just a minute, even if it’s still hot out. Something about the change of scenery and fresh air helps me reset.
I have the opposite issue. Our office always seems to overcompensate for the heat outside by lowering the AC to Arctic temps. I started stashing a blanket in my desk to wrap around my legs during the day. I'm probably the only person in my office that would prefer to be hot over being cold.
I hate this weather so much. I'm lucky at work though, we have been keeping it positively frigid lately. I've been bringing a sweater with me to work most days because my office gets so cold. I'd much rather deal with being too cold then too hot, so I'm not complaining about it one bit.
I am so miserable when I'm hot! I try to iced cool tea or water and get in front of a fan or a shady spot as much as I can!
