Work opportunities with off season schedule? Background in audit. Left as Senior II
I opened my own tax practice last year and have about 200 clients now, but that's not enough to get me through the year. Ideally I want job that will let me go for tax season, or even 6 months. Any ideas what industry I can consider with my audit and tax background?

What level and service line were you at the big 4, and what percent salary increase did you get once you left? I’m a S1>S2, and the offers I’m seeing are around 10%-15% higher, which feels a little low. But maybe I’m being unrealistic.

UPDATE (RE: SoCal Assistant Controller Interview)

So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

Not sure if Im hired or not, but are there any questions about the job, comp (cont.)
