I would take it. You stop the gap between jobs. You will likely learn useful new skills. Also, fly over land is making serious in roads in the trustee side of the business because they offer minimal taxes, no rule against perpetuates, and better creditor protection, among other things. And, if it doesn't work out, it is an easier story to sell to an firm than the alternative.
Tough spot to be in, but sounds like it’ll get your foot in the door. First -in house job is always the hardest, will make things easier for you down the road. I’d probably consider taking it. Good industry too, wealth management is pretty interesting to me and could lead to other finance or investment opportunities later.
