I want to move to Europe or New Zealand. I am educated/barred in the US and only speak English. Is this hopeless, or are there opportunities out there for someone like me?

It's not hopeless -- I'm a US licensed lawyer but am now working in London. The biggest issue you'll have is getting a work visa (assuming you don't already have legal rights to live and work in any of those places). Once you find an employer overseas to hire you and sponsor you, you'll be set! Let me know if you want to talk about it in DMs. Good luck! 👍👍👍

I have similar questions but I’m in one of the practices you mentioned. Would you mind if I sent you a DM? No problem if busy, but any insight from your perspective would be much appreciated!

I’m a US lawyer in London. If you do cap markets, funds, or US tax work there are plenty of opportunities.

That seems like it would be tougher if you are on UK/EU qualified but you could always speak to a recruiter to see what the market looks like.
