Mentors who you have a genuine relationship with, sure!
Pure business relationship, I’d be hesitant unless you think there’s some on the project that could be fixed to help you feel better (or if you you’re on the verge of quitting or spiraling into a really bad mental state).
Is it a wlb burnout or just a consulting overall burnout? If the former, try and see if you can find a longer pmo type of project?
Take a long vacation, look into leave of absence. if truly done then set some hard boundaries, stop caring, start looking for new job
Thanks a lot for the advice! That’s very helpful. I’m already on an extended leave.. still figuring out what kind of burnout I’m experiencing

I did when I hit a breaking point and was gonna take LOA. Wish I had done it sooner as my partners were supportive and shifted things around to ease me up. They also gave me permission/advice to let things slip.
Tell them. They want to know. They may not appreciate that they are putting too much on the team.
I would because I trust my principal would have a very reasonable and supportive response and follow it through with supportive actions. There are a lot of previous jobs where I wouldn’t have though.

You should disclose it to your mentor and possibly your manager (if you want to take LOA or something). Most people will be supportive.
I agree with the above advice. It very much depends on the relationship you have with your manager and team. I've been in spots where I knew it didn't matter so I just had to look for another job (like at the present). If you have a support structure where they will give you a break or LOA without termination that is amazing. I'm just used to being churned until I call Uncle and leave.
If you have traditionally been a high performer, then yes. If not? Meh.
So the safest bet is to speak up because it’s just gonna burn you even worse if you don’t. Sorry.
Sure but I would highly recommend coming in with a few actionable asks as well, otherwise it’s a hard conversation to navigate as a manager. And if you just need a vacation, just take a vacation.
