Finally left TCS last week and feel the most happiest person ever.TCS was my 4th organisation and I had joined TCS to settle for long term but after 1 year I realised this is the worst organisation one can be with.No first year hike for laterals, no support provided to hard working dedicated employees, only support and leaves are gifted to employees who do nothing and know nothing except dodging work and getting escalations from clients.Forced wfo, forced completion of useless trainings etc.
Hey fishes
Can anyone give me referral?
Thanks!
Ever did that??

I had a “take this job and shove it” moment at an ad agency without anything lined up, and ended up going client-side for less pay, stayed five years. Best move of my career.

I once took a substantial pay cut to leave a toxic job. Absolutely the right choice.
Yes. Considering all that’s going on, I think the wiser long term investment for one’s career is to get out of agency land.
Recently quit my agency job to take a break and explore a different path. I hit a wall and realized this is a cycle that won’t go anywhere. I need to un-stuck myself and I’m definitely lucky to have the support I need. It feels right to me as I never want to go back to this industry.
A million percent yes. Get out while you can

This is exactly what I did, or…attempted to do. It’s been 8 months and it’s proving almost impossible possible to get into sales because of my “lack of sales experience” … I have 8 years as a planner, a comprehensive contact list across multiple agencies and I still can’t get in. But I refuse to go back to planning at agencies the way they currently are on the UK.
I still back my decision to leave that toxic agency but need tips to get into sales. I’ve tried everything, proactive 30 60 90, tailoring CV to dial up the numbers and targets - but I’m all ears for any assistance
Yes, i used to strongly disagree with leaving for paycut but toxic job can negatively affect your health which you dont even realise
Exactly this ^ you’ll find yourself spending more to help with self care items, doctor visits, therapy, potential medication just to deal. Health is wealth.
Yes.

Yes, but no more than a 10% cut.

Vendor side may involve some selling but completely worth it for your peace of mind. Look at it this way: the pay cut will help avoid you needing therapy or other medical issues you may need as a result of staying in that toxic environment

For me it’s never having to touch a platform again that’s most appealing
