Remember that bonus amount is not guaranteed, but typically a range....but overall seems solid. What does your promotion path at your current firm look like? You may want to consider that - if you’re close to Director, you would be looking at $250K
Appreciate the input D1. These are target numbers for an average year. Was told it could go higher (or lower) depending on a number of factors.
Promotion at current firm is director in 2 years at an all in comp of $250k. In two years I should be around that all-in at this firm as well.
Thoughts?
Was thinking yes yes yes until I saw Midwest. I grew up in the Midwest and was happy to leave. I’ve never looked back. For me the Midwest is kind of a deal breaker
Speaking of the Midwest, how’s Detroit looking?
Knowing that the bonus isn't guaranteed id only be looking at base and rsu for industry job. The thing is 15k for RSUs for industry id also want to look into how they are doing compared to their peers. How are they paying out RSUs? If you really looking at WLB now id take it, if you can hold on id wait to get a better deal.
Solid offer
Coach
Take it and don't look back.
When you imagine yourself five years from now, where do you want to be (level, comp, industry, location, WLB)? Does this role help you get there?
Yes
Solid offer but the RSU package is kind of low? It should be a minimum of $100K of RSUs vesting over a period of 3 years IMO.
Use that offer as a leverage for an industry job you would love to work in. It doesn’t sound like you’re super excited about the industry.
I would
What firm are you at now? Thought t2 firms paid more than that 2.5 years out of mba
What level are you?
