You never know who you are going to see in this field! Even after switching jobs a few years back, in my next position, I had engaged and worked with my previous coworkers on a new project! This is a small world!

A small world indeed! It's amazing how those connections just keep popping up. I guess it goes to show the importance of maintaining those relationships. You never know who you'll be bumping into on your next job or project.

Exactly! Thats one thing that I do love about it. Seems like many opportunities if you up and move somewhere else.

Love when that happens. I have connected with the same woman five times over the years with both of us moving to new jobs. Now we just keep in touch on a regular basis. It felt like the universe was telling us that we are friends - lol

That is friendship indeed! I worked with a woman like that (she is now retired). She showed me the ropes! She had over 3 decades of experience.

Oh wow! That must have been a wonderful full circle moment for you and the client.

Yes it was! :)

I love when moments like this happen. That's why it's important to maintain good relationships with everyone.

Exactly! This is why you don’t burn bridges! Good employer or not!

My dilemma:

I'm at a LMM investment bank. Can get crazy sometimes, but otherwise chill. Typically done around 7-9 pm, had maybe three 1 am nights. Haven't worked a weekend in over a month. Fridays almost always done at 5 pm.

Have an offer at a reputable MM bank but probably pretty sweaty. Worth the move?

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.

It’s very discouraging to continuously receive these rejection emails. With 9 years of supply chain experience, I am not sure why I would not be able to at least get an interview for entry level roles that require no experience. Not just this one pictured but others as well. I’ve applied to maybe 60 positions since May, both mid level and “entry” and no interviews. I’ve had my resume professionally re-written twice. Not sure where the disconnect is. Anyone else going through this same thing?
