Most companies use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to screen applications before a recruiter ever sees them.
One mistake I see repeatedly:
Using fancy CV designs with tables, columns, graphics, and text boxes.
They look great to humans.
They often confuse ATS software.
A simple, well-structured CV usually performs better than a beautiful one.
