Hello, what is working in retail banking like at JPMorgan Chase ? Specially the branch manager role. I’m looking in the Columbus area. How is pay, culture, benefits, sales environment, meetings, etc. How easy is it to transition from retail banking to corporate. I hear the Polaris campus has great opportunities, I was thinking about getting my foot in the door through retail then transferring to corporate ?

@PwC 1 Uh. Texas is one of the cheapest livable states to live in. You must be confusing Dallas with San Francisco. Either that, or you must have a ridiculously high standard of "comfort".
Dallas is expensive? Hahahhahahahahahhahahahahhahaha
P1 dallas is expensive and you can only live comfortably at $200-250k??? Can you define comfort?? Although rent has gone up, it is still a lot cheaper than most other big cities. Unless you're expecting to live in Highland Park and buy a 7 series every other year you can live quite comfortably on $70k. This town is CHEAP!
dont want kids so i'd be good with 130K and and 40hr flex work week till im 60 (as long as i could front load my week with work and travel on the long weekends). but if i had to pay for little ones, 130K wouldn't be nearly enough
D1 - you sound like a loser. The vast majority of the US makes less than 130. You also labeled virtually every fireman, teacher, police officer, clergyman, military member and nurse a loser.
Dallas is expensive and you can only live comfortably at 200-250k
The second seems pointless.
A2, how can you possibly say that Dallas is expensive when you freely admit your house would be four times more expensive in an actual expensive city?
D.C. Also has high property taxes and sales tax, so. I idea what the hell you are talking about to justify Dallas as expensive. It is not, period.
Anyone who says 130k has no ambition... and yes Dallas is expensive, like I said, I want to live comfortably that means sending kids to private schools and living in University Park
The former. Especially since I live in Texas
Mba....better to live doing what you want than a mediocre existance
MBA. Depending on where you live, 130k/year could be nothing in a few years.
Believe it or not, Dallas is getting expensive. Home prices are rising fast, sales tax are above average at 8.25%, high property tax cancels out the lack of state income tax, gotta pay tolls to get anywhere here and it adds up....then again my Dallas house in DC would be about a 1.5 Mil (paid 400k).
D2 not true... DC area RE tax rates are around 1%. Dallas area RE tax rates are 2-3%.
D2 I stated Dallas is BECOMING expensive. Chill homie.
The guaranteed 130k easily.
I don't think there's anything wrong with just wanting average. Idk 130 k, standard hours living in a modest house with a family in the suburbs (assuming my future husband makes at least the same or more) actually sounds quite simple and lovely. I don't think I mind "mediocre" just want to be happy and have time time to raise my family
Lol P1 My family combined didn't make what you're talking about when I was growing up and we were just fine. Of course, that just meant we didn't get to wipe our asses with Benjamin's and I learned how to drive on a beat up Camry and not a Tesla. But hey, that's what real comfort is.
Way too little money to live in, I don't want to be some random middle class loser.
The 130 and no loans
