1800/day
Congrats, that’s awesome! Here’s hoping you’ll snag an extension to boot!🍻
Mind sharing a bit more info bout the gig? As FL CD myself, I’m always curious to what types shops/clients have enough respect for what we do that they find a way to offer a decent rate from the get-go
… *cough* Regardless of whatever world-ending headline came out that day + Jr Recruitment Agency bots will undoubtedly use to justify offering you “amazing opportunities” @ 1993 payrates … all while the clients big enough to hire agencies in the 1st place sit on the historic piles of 💰💵💶💴💷💰 they made last time they cried Apocalypse 🎻🫠
• What city are you in and/or is the gig located (if different)?
• How’d you find the gig?
1) Respond to LI post from someone in ur network? + If so, was post from a Recruiter or creative colleague?
2) Cold(ish) outreach?
3) job board / online app?
• Partner or solo gig? + any idea what level gig is technically being billed out as to client? (ECD/CD/ACD/Sr)
• In-house client or agency? If the latter,
1) Holding Co (if so, which one?) / Indie?
2) Consumer / Pharma?
3) If consumer, what brand sector is client in?
——
PS — don’t listen to any “an extension at that rate in THIS economy” BS that might (even inadvertently) get snarked ur way over next 6 wks
If personal anecdotes are worth anything here— I made stupid money during the blackest death market days of the pandemic doing exactly what you are doin + sounds like ur in a good spot given the FT skeleton crews most places seem to be operating on lately.
I swear, the only thing weathering 3 recessions before 40 has taught me is: When the world goes to shit — odds of ANYTHING happening, for better or for worse, devolves to coin flip odds.
And while 1:1 odds might be a downgrade for cushy/sure thing situs (pshhh what freelancer has that anyways lol)
… Flip side kicks chances of something vErY uNLiKleY occurring — a la “scoring a well paid extension during a worldwide meltdown” — technically gets kicked up a whopping 40-49.99%!
So I dunno bout you, but sound like ur lookin at some pretttaaay prettaaay good odds to me! 😂💪😜
$200 hr
Is this the rate you quoted and they accepted? Or was a job posted at that rate. Curious because $95-$200 is obviously a massive gap. Is $200 your standard rate and you’ve just been willing to take less?
$600/day as a producer but been mostly unemployed
sorry to hear. but how long was that day? 8 hours with OT afterwards or that was your rate even if the day was longer?
Coach
$130/hr since February. Could wrap up soon, but they may extend. Don’t know for sure yet.
$1200/day. Very quick jobs though. Nothing big (3 $15k+) so far this year.
$1500 / day. Wasn’t a long project but felt like a win!
$2100 a day plus overtime.
Oh wow! How does one become an analyst because I need to make $2k/day if I ever can hope to own a home 🥲 by the way is this rate for an indefinite extended period of time, or for a fixed period of time/per project?
I can't seem to break $125/hr +OT. It's not bad because I seem to be a resource they can use, but it isn't seen as a loss in billings. I could be wrong, but I stick around longer than the ones who get $150/hr
