I've spent the last two years as a senior copywriter, and been closely working with my ACD. I think I feel ready to take the next step and prepare to be one myself. There are times I even feel like I am able to come up with better solutions and plans than my ACD. However, I'm constantly hit with doubt about whether I've earned it yet, or if I've put in enough years to progress in my career. How many years do you think one should be a senior copywriter before climbing up the ladder to be an ACD?

Haha I can't believe I'm just finding out about the Rock's haircare brand. This one definitely needed a smart copywriter. I had another funny thought for it ... it's not good copy, especially not for branding because of the other brand reference but here goes... 'It’s the official Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson&Johnson shampoo'. Agree it's a little lame but hey, is it worse than a bald man promoting a shampoo? If you care for a little afternoon brain exercise, shoot your first thought for this!

How do you undo equating your ideas not making it to a final deck as a lack of talent? Most often the ideas I present branch off to become better ones that make it to our final presentations, so I guess I can give myself some credit for that, but I've been beating myself up because I feel less than, or unworthy of my role as some junior copywriters are honestly coming up with way better ideas than I'm able to. Is this just a copywriter dry spell? How have you overcome this?

I have been thinking about cookies and tbh, this particular product ever since I saw a picture of it on another bowl. I think it's the design and of course, the fact that I'm a cookie monster. But it made my copywriter-brain think, 'What kind of copy/description for this product would stick with people the same way the design did with me?'. So here's me extending the question to the bowl because I came up with bad ones that I'm not proud of.

HNY copy bowl! <3 Here's a vulnerable question: Does using AI in your workflow give you a guilty conscience in the sense that you're losing your ability to think for yourself?
