Is it okay that my ACD occasionally clubs me with our in-house video editor or assigns me tasks (small ones, but tasks nonetheless) related to video-editing? I don't remember seeing 'video editing' in my job description and I feel like asking for a raise or something but I'm not sure what the right way to deal with this is. Any words of advice?

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

AWS has prestige but is it worth it?

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center).
