I’ve been battling my diseased thinking over the course of a 16 month job search. I have moments of clarity where I truly believe in myself but more times I am my worst critic.
Who here has read Dry by Augusten Burroughs? It’s about his time at rehab and after while he worked at an ad agency in the 90s. 5/5 stars.
I feel like I’m getting all the gifts of sobriety lately and it’s so wild to me how this stuff works
So quite in our bowl! How’s everyone doing? I don’t know about anyone else, but with this quarantine I am totally acting out in other areas of my life. Sugar and online shopping 😩. Anyone else?
Have a meeting scheduled with my boss tomorrow with no explanation. Think I’m getting fired because I’ve been making mistakes recently. I’m not handling this well and I’m feeling tempted to use. I kno…
There’s obviously innumerous gifts of sobriety. But how much money do you save each month? By my estimate it’s $500/month. $14,000 so far. 🤑
4 years sober today. So much to reflect on, not least of which how important it is to “get comfortable getting uncomfortable”. In my experience, it’s truly the only way forward. Sending strength to …

Crazy and reckless thought from a classically sober alcoholic.. with zoom being the only way we connect to meetings, does anyone wanna do a zoom meeting for this bowl: sober in advertising??
Does anyone know of a good A.A. mtg in SF? New to the program and in treatment now, looking to hop into some zooms this weekend and next week to find a good one/few. Thanks in advance
I am finally at the point where I admit I have a drinking problem. Two nights ago I binged, and I’m still hungover. I’m tired of recovery taking so much time and energy out of me. Thanks for listening
How’s everyone holding up? For those of us who do 12 step meetings, I for one miss the hugs! We have to work harder now to stay connected as we are isolators by nature. Find time for you 🙏
Unpopular Opinion: I’m not loving Zoom AA meetings. I already spend all day on Zoom calls, and on my computer. Sigh. Thanks for listening. Keep coming back.
Zoom meetings have been fantastic. I can highly recommend my home group SOS. 7:30 daily. Great way to get grounded as you start your day.
I’m turning to this community for some advice. My husband relapsed this week and I’m panicking. He started 2019 with two rehab stays and has spent the majority of the past year sober with the....

Southern California NA has about three zoom meetings a day. FB group is called Quarantined NA - Southern California . You can find more info on that page. 🙏🙏
I feel so badly for active alcoholics today. So grateful I’m not “in my cups”. Just a reminder that there are a ton of speaker tapes on Spotify! Stay in touch, people.
Here in Brooklyn, the bishop closed all of the meetings in Catholic Churches. Not sure if that includes the rest of NY? Anyway, some groups have set Zoom meetings, a friend is hosting a small BB study
Just a reminder, as the world around us mires in chaos: We don’t have to drink today. And we can meet calamity with serenity.
Hi New York and those in AA! If you have a year or more sober, intergroup needs help. They’re closing due to corona and need volunteers!
I had an opportunity to speak at an NA women’s luncheon this past weekend. I love being of service. Takes my mind off of a dismal job search and reminds me I have so much to be grateful for!
