I’m looking for a remote HR job. I have almost 3 years of experience in HR. Trust and respect are at the forefront of everything I do. Excellence in performance is a character trait instilled in me by my parents and is the heart of my work ethic. Self-motivated and goal oriented, I have a demonstrated record of success in achieving goals and objectives. As a collaborator, I believe it is literally true, that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed.

For those of you who are certified (SHRM or PHR), what was your biggest takeaway from getting your certification? How has this helped you today in your HR career?

Is there a typical day when you tend to make offers? Like more likely to get an offer in the first half of the work week rather than the second half?

How often does your billable time get written off? Does it affect your hours vis-a-vis meeting yearly requirements and bonus? Tips for minimizing write offs and partners who ask you not to bill time?

Finally managed to redistribute some of my workload, but it feels like that made my burnout worse. At least before I was too busy running from crisis to crisis to worry. I still have looming deadlines, but now I can’t find a drop of motivation to deal with them.

I find myself feeling like my team is toxic, but not in the way you’d usually say a work environment is toxic. Everyone’s friendly and a team player but there’s a certain pressure placed on our team by management to be number 1 (which we are, in our respective region). Everyone I talk to on the team feels stressed and burned out, EYE feel super stressed. It’s this pressure to over-perform that has me wondering if it’s really as bad as I think it is or if this is just what sales is?

What is everyone’s opinion on whether or not pleadings should be copyrightable? I’ve always thought it would really promote access to justice if the general public can easily search through a court’s database for redacted precedents. But I don’t think there is a single jurisdiction that allows this and I assume it’s due to copyright concerns.

Anyone else just continually dismayed by the sheer amount of work product they are cranking out? It truly feels like I’m on a hamster wheel of one incredibly substantive document, motion, or pleading to the next. While also juggling the other less substantial but still necessary things that are required to keep litigation rolling. I. Am. Worn. Out.
Hoping I’m just in a bad cycle that will eventually give.
