I currently work in edtech, but had the president of a building services company reach out to me about a position there. Curious do I leave tech and transition into another area of sales or stick it out and play the long game in tech? Building services position would be about a 25k raise

I’m currently working with a senior level HR candidate. This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. I’m curious is anyone else having difficulties play some candidates like this? At this point I’m starting to think it’s racial or her sex based of the lack of interest in this candidate. I’m looking to get into a SDR/BDR position preferably in Saas. I had one string of interviews with a potential employer but unfortunately did not work out. After asking and receiving feedback on my interview, I have been heavily applying to other job postings. I pride myself on my interview skills but I can’t seem to make it past the initial screening through the job boards. Any tips on getting an interview? I have over 2 yrs of sales xp and am looking at entry level SDR positions.

I’ve got a four-year military commitment commencing early next year. What are the best ways to maintain marketability so that if I exit the Corps, I can transition back to civilian law easily?

I am potentially getting an offer from Meta as a product manager, in active interviews now. Any comp gut checks available for an L4 or L5 product manager? They won’t give solid info on comp until the offer, I don’t want to waste my time. Also, any insight into work/life balance in this type of role would also be helpful. My current role is super flexible and I am pretty happy, so it’s about more than comp increase to me.

I keep hearing and reading about the future of work post pandemic. What about the future of learning post pandemic? There needs to be more conversation and proper planning or else I fear learning will go back to what it once was pre pandemic. ..the same. Any thoughts or vision for the future?

A meeting is where we discuss everything we'd be doing if we weren't in the meeting.

What should the reaction be if the vaccines end up only being reasonably effective. Say we end up with a going forward rate of 100,000 dead per year. Or 50,000. Is there a point at which you say you were willing to take the risk and move back to a normal life (gatherings, restaurants, travel, etc.)? Recognizing they lockdowns can temporarily reduce counts, but not eliminate the disease.

My advisor called my medical accommodation a “benefit” when bringing up their frustration about two people in my team taking vacation at the same time so FA will have to be in office those days.
I literally had nothing to do with their issue. They were like “well what if you decide you need t work from home that day?”
I’m thinking about talking with them and clarifying that my accommodation is not a benefit and I would appreciate it if they addressed it as such. It caught me off guard I’m ngl.
