Having struggled with visa for the past ~6 years, I have become extremely cynical. I don’t trust real friendships anymore because friends turned into competitors or got too burdened to maintain the friendships.
I feel somewhat disgusted when my coworkers or managers tried to “build rapport” with me.
I understand the value of doing so, but my repulsion inevitably showed through my apparent desire to end small talks as soon as possible.

If you join pwc with an approved I140, do they start the green card transfer (perm, i140) immediately ? I was told by recruiter it will start immediately after H1 transfer . I Wanted to know how true this is if anyone been through this

Has anybody experience in giving up the LPR status after leaving the US for work and residency in another country/homecountry? I come from a low tax country and wonder whether Uncle Sam will send a final tax bill or penalty fee or even make it difficult/impossible for me to abandon the GC once I will leave the US again. Hello... I recently travelled outside the US. My I-94 record's admission date is 11/04. However, my visa will expire on 10/16. Should I correct my I94 record?

I work on a team that is 95% H1b (it’s really just me and 1 other on a team that’s 20+). The client has a few topics that are restricted to US citizens on US soil only. There’s a few team members that are visibly (not recently because it’s virtual) upset when asked to leave the room for these discussions to take place. Why would they get so offended?

I work heavily in AWS and am looking to learn another cloud platform. I have zero knowledge of azure and gcp and would like input on which to learn. This one is for folks on h1b visa. So at time when you have an offer in hand(not accepted the offer yet and h1b transfer process not yet begun) while you are working with your current employer, do you even speak to your employer about your new offer to see if they make a counter offer?
Is there a risk involved with this approach assuming your current employer doesn't provide you with a counter offer and they ask you to leave immediately (and your h1b visa hasn't been transferred either)

Her status in the US is currently complicated and she doesn’t have a green card(tho she’s working on it), my wife(her daughter) is American.

I want to report this to the FBI’s elder fraud department but I don’t want to complicate her situation even more.
