Hello fishes. Need your suggestions. I have worked at Accenture for 2 yrs as a software developer and due to interest in core side, took training in Rv-Vlsi and placed in capgemini as PHYSICAL DESIGN ENGINEER . And it's been 9 months, I didn't get any project. I am much frustrated as I am wasting my imp time. I'm regretting now of leaving Accenture :( Can you give me suggestions on what to learn in this free time? Intel Corporation Qualcomm MediaTek Synopsys Inc. Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

My probation was supposed to be of 6 months (i.e until June 2022), but today I received a notification in Workday that I have passed my probation.
How is this possible?
I was planning to resign within probation for 30days notice period. But now this happened. Will this change my notice period to 90days??

If deal team is the goal, would only go for that
Its a no brainer. LMM deal team
UMM deal team
There will be MF and UMM off cycle— keep at it

Just stay and wait for on cycle deal team roles. They’ll come up. Don’t go to a value creation role if you want deal team, it is not at all the same or remotely similar
On the comp side - I'm seeing some larger shops offer a nice base salary with 50% bonus for Ops Team Associate (close to $250k). I'm at the post-mba level in consulting, and some of the small PE deal teams (e.g. $2B fund size) are offering less than my current role all-in as a first year (around $200k all in, maybe less). Assuming this isn't the norm at all though.
LMM deal team - with the hope that WLB is better too.

It is better ;) at least for me
Thanks for the feedback guys, very helpful. Sadly I have minimal transferrable skills to PE (more integrations, value creation), but still trying to finesse my way into deals side. Still doing Ops interviews as well, bc ultimately I'd rather do either over consulting lol.
^second. Frankly you can’t understand the job without having deal exp. Someone in your form probably does some CDD, find that, even just do 1 or 2 and then you can talk about those
All off cycle so not LMM (if that's what the message is implying) -l
How do you overcome “lacking” the finance / IB background to get into deal team?
That’s funny cause I wanted to include a comment in my question to say *besides working at MBB lol
LMM deal team
