Currently working at an IT reseller with £25k basic £40k OTE and got 2 years experience in this role. I’ve exceeded all my targets and sold all of our business lines in the IT space. Should I make the switch to a SaaS vendor? And would I have the experience to go in as an AE or SDR?

I had my PHR back in early 2000, then made a career change to a paramedic (I know, right). I called SHRM and they said I'm eligible to test again even though I only currently have 1.5 yrs of HR.
I purchased the online study guide and it seems that HR has gone in a completely different direction - more operations related than employee relations etc.
Did anyone find this online training to be helpful? I test in July, so any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks - lauren
Would you drive a car that costs $135,000? If so, would it mainly be to show your success to your clients?
I am hearing a recurring theme in my exits, and I have had this experience myself. Millennial employees (20-30s) including myself, feel pushed into "technical" roles on teams even though we have never expressed this interest or any qualifications for them.
A consultant in Financial Services who found himself being the platform expert even though this was not his passion, not something he studied etc. My own experience was pushed to be the hris expert on the OD team. Anyone else? Is this bias?
I’m currently working with a senior level HR candidate. This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. I’m curious is anyone else having difficulties play some candidates like this? At this point I’m starting to think it’s racial or her sex based of the lack of interest in this candidate. Any thoughts?
I’m interviewing for a dream job at Under Armour. I may have to do a presentation on one of their core competencies. Does anyone have any info on what these are? I was introduced to questions about them during the interview but want to get it right!
Aside from just time and experience, is there anything I can actively do to advance in my career and get more responsibility / client interaction? I’m a first year

Is market pay and pay scale the same thing?
I’m a 1st year attorney working in-house & just began focusing on employment. Just found out the lead (& only) employment attorney is leaving for a year, so I’ll be handling it all. Any tips? (Cntd)
New first year here (aka started three weeks ago) and my senior that I’ve been working with primarily has been so, so nice. I even messed something up (not a huge deal, but definitely still an inconvenience) and she just said no worries, we will figure it out that’s my bad for missing it when reviewing. Just wanted to express a general appreciation for everyone who is patient with juniors like me. Anything I can do (other than saying thanks) to express appreciation for all the help?
Any good AE positions in the Orange County area?
I have been in a role for a few months and really do not enjoy it, how would you go about resigning?
Has anyone subscribed to Jdhuntr to utilize their job board? I find the idea of paying to access a job board very suspicious since usually job posters are the ones who pay, but if it will increase my chances of getting a great job I’m not against it!
So hard to decide which practice area to pursue post-clerkship; the experience opened my eyes but now I feel lost! Was 100% corp, but now bankruptcy and even lit seem more interesting
I walked into work yesterday and noticed that all of the food was left on the table from Friday morning tea (I wasn’t at work) it’s so annoying to be expected that I will be the one that will clean up the office after every office event. I was pissed
Hi! Are any of you SDRs at HashiCorp, Inc. (Austin location)? Do you like working there? How's the starting pay? Opportunities to grow?
Have my final one on one with my manager tomorrow before leaving for another position. Anything I should say in our meeting before leaving?
I’ve been in my role since June of 2020 right after graduating college. I truly cannot say enough good things about my manufacturer but lately, as in the last 6ish months, I’ve truly been questioning whether there is more for me here.
As a 23 year old I know I’m more apt to hop or seek out other opportunities so I don’t want to be rash or just “toy around with leaving because I’m bored”. But at this point, I’ve reached my 2nd coaching (first was 4/2021) and it’s clear my role isn’t for me…..
Will we be getting salary today?

How do people lateral into big or mid-sized law firms that couldn’t get in right out of law school? I work in entertainment but my career growth and opportunities are limited having never worked at a firm. Most people think I’m nuts but all I’ve ever wanted was to work at a good firm! Any ideas for getting a break? I know people at most of the firms — lack of connections isn’t my issue.
For those with school districts closed or facing an impending school closure, how are you managing work and childcare. I feel like it’s a matter of time for us (I’m in NJ) and beyond stressed.
How many of you can honestly say that your investments have beaten the market (VTI/ITOT/FZROX) over many years?
If so, what does your asset allocation look like?
Any recommendation for those 50s to 40s..
Contract or Permanent?
Went for an interview for a Copywriter role and was asked at the end if I would want to be hired under a contract or as a perm staff. I'm still rather new to understanding the differences in terms of pros and cons. Any advice?
I'm two weeks post covid and still waking up at night gasping for air. Anyone have this happen? Does it go away?
Anyone in here work at Madwell? I’m completely enamored by the agency and just submitted an application, but would really love to connect with someone who’s there on top of just sending an application into the void. I’ll buy lunch.
Besides the usuals (CISSP, CISM). If I want to increase my knowledge of security, specifically networks and network security, does anyone have any certification recommendations? I want to be well rounded but I lack the foundational technical network knowledge tbh I’m so SOC and security focused
How much substance use/abuse is normal at your agency? Seems like heavy drinking is the norm and some drug use is tolerated in many shops.
Has anyone gotten an email from their previous company about an expense months after they already left? Seems ridiculous, I already cut ties
Mainly PWC, but any chime in; what is the salary range for a new manager in M&A tax (NY market). Currently a senior at 169k base after this new deal stuff at PWC. [fyi I’m cpa background]
Claypool, Boyd, or OBJ? Normally would run with OBJ here but concerned about first game back from injury
Tenant to landlord question for you all- Been living in the same apt with my mom for my entire life & now that I’ve been home I’ve realized how truly worn out the 70’s kitchen cabinets are CONT
I'm a junior associate. A couple people have left my small firm and I'm now the lone associate at our main office. I've now been told I am "temporary senior associate or permanent or partner whatever that results in." Please send help. I'm just a baby attorney still.
I have accepted an offer with DUSI for 11 LPA fixed and recently I received another offer with 16 LPA fixed CTC but it’s fixed term hire. Can we share this offer and renegotiate with DUSI?
I have issues “delegating” or simply assigning tasks, which as a Manager is a whole thing. Like I feel “bad” asking my people to do things that i know i can do but shouldn’t because it’s not up to me. When I assign a task i try to be super clear with instructions, give examples, help them get started…but I still feel bad. Idk. Anyone goes through this?
