Additional Posts in H1B Visa Discussion
I got H1B Visa and 83000 USD dollar petition amount as annual package.I am confused as this amount will be enough to survive there with wife and 7 year old daughter. My wife is working here and together we are earning 50LPA annual. We are settled here by owning house too.Confusion is my wife will not be able to work there on H4 Visa so the kind of life we are living here will not be possible there.Thoughts?Suggestions?Pros and Cons?

It depends on few more details:
1. What is your current location and do you have your own house or on rented
2. What is the main purpose of going to USA? Is it saving money or quality of life?
3. How's your link to your family back home like parent.. any dependency on you or not? Once you move to onsite your parents can only come and stay with you for max 6 months at a time
As far as salary and location:
1. Salary is good for ohaio location.. I think rent and all for one bhk will be 1500 plus electricity, utility, water etc with insurance etc may cost you max 2k per month
2. You may expect to get around 6-7k per month in hand
3. Basic car will cost you another 500 dollars
4. Grocery and other stuff max 1-1.5k
5. Health insurance may be another 300-500
6. So can save around 1.5k - 2k dollar per month rest depends on your lifestyle and all
Long term plan:
1. You can shift the job there and can easily get 120k+
2. If greencard is filed for you then your wife can also work.. as you mentioned she is also in IT then she can also get 100k easily.. with double salary you can save entire one person salary.
3. Quality of life is good.. all positive points in USA except one.. that is Green card. Green card may take 15-20 years. If no citizenship then your parents cannot stay with you for more than 6 months
You are welcome. I have been to USA twice and had a similar scenario. Happy to help
