How did people job hunt before WFH? I’m searching around for opportunities now since I feel like I’m not growing at my current job. I had a couple interviews on phone / video (during work hours) but it got me thinking - how did people interview when they were in the office 5 days a week? Did they just bring a tie in their bag and dip out the office before the interview? Or took a personal day every interview?

I have about 15 years of experience in tech with 2 years as head of product in a startup. I'm trying to find a new leadership role which is proving to be very difficult. My applications seem to get rejected because I don't meet the "minimum X number of years in product" requirement. I have got an offer from TCS which is 11LPA.However, my Basic Pay/Fixed compensation is getting reduced in the new offer and also the HRA is getting reduced. The HR is telling that the basic is fixed as per policy and they cannot change it. The base pay is less but there are several other components which are higher. Should I take up the new offer? Please help. New Job location is Mumbai.

I have practiced law for several years and still struggle with the feast-or-famine nature of my practice. (Sudden rush of client outreach, many emergencies, then … nothing). A famine week might be 3-4 billable hours/day. My practice area does not have a predictable annual cycle, like “year end” or “tax day.” Any tips from other attorneys for how to recognize, predict, and/or even out these periods?

First time trying to buy a property for an eventual rental income (a single house or 2 or 3 family). Would you buy it under your personal name, get a residential mortgage, then transfer the deed to LLC later or buy it under LLC name at the first place and get a commercial mortgage?
