My fiancé and I invested in a small startup about five years ago and are about to get a $300,000 pay out (after taxes). What would you do with an extra $300k? (We have no debt, have sufficient savings and own a home already so the basics are covered.)

Lol, I did the same thing. Made money on the way up and on the way back down. IV is crap now so not worth it anymore, unless you want to risk picking it back up for ~50 (I don't).

The bigger question is, why she still your fiance after 5 years?! If you ain't happy or ain't sure, move on p1, life's true happiness comes from people and relationships

Just looked at the numbers. Wow. Shouldn’t have gotten married! Jk Honestly it all depends. Sounds like you’ve done the homework and makes financial sense. Good luck!

Buy a multi-family, hire a property management company and sit back and make 8-15% annually when the market crashes in the next two years. Cash flow!

If you’re thinking of starting a family at some point and you have your basics covered then put it into a simple index fund and save it for college. By the time the kid is 18, if you can afford their college out of pocket, give them control of the funds once they graduate and they can put it towards a house or something. Building generational wealth is the key!

Correct, as it requires name and SSN. And like all investments, earlier the better.

You can give the money to a charity today or you can invest and when you die give the extra money to charity then. This is my plan.

Hello folks,

My current ctc is 23lpa and I have offer of around 36lpa in India
However i am getting an onsite opportunity In Denmark, what should be my expected ctc there? Considering the country is much expensive. If anyone has done research regarding cost of living in Denmark earlier, please share your thoughts on this, it would be very helpful. They are willing to offer 60k euros, but I feel 36 lpa in india is better deal. Companies are equivalent.

BTC question.

Less than 3 million BTC left to be mined. What happens to the value of BTC once all 21 million are mined? If it’s not really an efficient payment medium, then is there a max value based on the supply/demand? To clarify, once the supply limit is reached what dictates that btc will continue increasing in value if demand should remain the same (as it’s not a practical payment medium)? Furthermore, is there a way to calculate the approx value of BTC demand once max supply is reached?
