2.5YoE in Risk Assurance coming from PwC and now wrapping up another 2.5 YoE at KPMG before turning manager next quarter.
Been offered an exit in strategic finance and analytics at approx 30% more than I’m currently making or approx 10% more than the overall compensation as manager 1 in risk asurance. I’m afraid that sticking around in internal audit/forensics will ultimately limit any viable outside options until I’m completely dead inside. Thoughts?

So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.

So im starting to lead meetings with clients but I always find myself going back and forth with the client trying to get more information following the initial WT which I feel is annoying . Is this normal or do I need to do a better job of writing out questions and agendas prior to the meeting.

I currently work in IT Audit at Deloitte and have a degree in Management Information Systems. I'm looking to transition into a cyber security role either with or outside of the firm.
